As educators, we understand the importance of intervening early when a child is not progressing within the normal range, or is advanced enough to need a higher level of materials. RTI demands that we document these interventions, monitor them frequently, modify or adjust as it becomes necessary, and record the outcome with data. The Mileposts Program makes it easy for you to keep track of the RTI process, including all student intervention meetings and graphs.
For any student, simply open their Mileposts Student e-File by clicking on the last name of the student from any class/entity/group view, and click on the gold tab (Educational Support). Open the plan you want the intervention entered under, and scroll down to the Interventions box. Click on the Add Intervention blue link on the right hand side. Once you have completed tabs one and two, you will open the Narrative tab. If you go to the far right of the menu bar, you can open up the Template Manager (the icon pictured in the graphic.) This will pop open a file manager window. Open the Interventions folder, and double click on the Interventions template. This will insert it right into the Narrative box. Two examples are listed below – one for elementary and one for secondary. (Note: Don’t forget that you and your district can now create templates unique to your own district. This can be done by your Mileposts Domain Master.)

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Mileposts Program will time out after about 15 minutes of inactivity. SAVE your work if you are pulled away. You can always come back to it.
